Residential Plumbing

Plumbing Repairs and Installation for Homes

Most residential plumbing calls fall into one of three buckets: something is leaking, something is blocked, or something has stopped making hot water. We handle all three, plus the planned work — re-pipes, fixture upgrades, additions, and full renovations.

The part that separates a good outcome from an expensive one is diagnosis. A slow drain can be a hair clog, a grease-lined pipe, a bellied line under the slab, or a blocked vent stack, and each of those has a very different price attached. We find out which it is first. On drain and sewer work that means a camera; on hidden leaks it means proper tracing rather than opening walls until we get lucky.

Core Work

What We Do Most

Water Heaters

Repair and replacement of tank, tankless, and indirect units. We size to your actual household demand rather than swapping like for like out of habit.

Drain & Sewer

Camera inspection, hydro jetting, and repair. Snaking clears today's clog; jetting and a look at the line stop next year's.

Leak Detection

Tracing leaks behind walls, under slabs, and in supply lines before they turn into ceiling repairs and mold remediation.

Re-Piping

Replacing failed galvanized and end-of-life copper. Planned around existing chases so we open as little of the house as possible.

Gas Lines

New gas piping for ranges, dryers, heating appliances, generators, and outdoor kitchens. Pressure tested and permitted.

Sump Pumps

Installation, replacement, and battery backup systems for the low-lying and high water table properties common on the north shore.

Commercial Plumbing

Plumbing for Businesses and Multi-Unit Properties

Commercial work has a different failure cost — a closed restaurant or an unrentable unit is losing money every hour. We schedule around your operating hours where we can and prioritize getting you functional first, then finished.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How Do I Know If I Need a Re-Pipe or Just a Repair?

If you are getting repeat pinhole leaks in different spots, or your pressure has dropped across the whole house rather than one fixture, the piping itself is usually the problem. A single leak in an otherwise healthy system is a repair. We will show you what we found before recommending either.

What Does Hydro Jetting Do That Snaking Does Not?

A snake punches a hole through a blockage. Hydro jetting scours the full diameter of the pipe, including grease and scale on the walls. For a recurring clog, snaking buys you months and jetting buys you years.

How Often Should a Drain Line Be Camera Inspected?

There is no fixed schedule, but it is worth doing before you buy a house, after a second backup in the same line, and any time a contractor recommends excavation. Seeing the line is a lot cheaper than digging up the yard to find out.

Tank or Tankless Water Heater?

Tankless makes sense when hot water demand is high and spread through the day, when space is tight, or when you want the longer service life. A tank is often the better value in a smaller household with predictable use. Gas supply and venting also factor in, and we will check both before recommending.

What Causes Low Water Pressure in an Older Long Island Home?

Most commonly corroded galvanized supply lines narrowing from the inside, a failing pressure regulator, or a partially closed valve someone forgot about. Elevation matters too if you are on a hill. These are easy to tell apart on site and expensive to guess at.

Do You Handle Frozen and Burst Pipes?

Yes, and it is one of the most common emergency calls we take in January and February. If a pipe has burst, shut the main off first if you can reach it safely, then call. If it is frozen but intact, do not use a torch on it — call us.
